I’m Gary Lavan, an applied psychologist working in the UK education system.

I’ve started this blog, and my website YourPsychology.co.uk as a way of consolodating and sharing some of the knowledge and understanding I gain from my work in developmental psychology.

Professionally my interests currently lie with; Autism, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, developmental psychology generally, and empowering people to overcome the numerous challenges that they face in their daily lives. And it is from this point that I shall begin my blog.

My interests around/outside of developmental psychology include theories of social constructionism, Darwin’s evolution through natural selection,  and many other areas.
